"I'm skinny so I can eat what I want!"
Pre-diabetic levels are measured by:
1. Fasting Insulin below 5, ideally below 3
2. Fasting blood glucose of 100-125 mg/dl
3. A1C below 5.7
These are tests that would be beneficial to have done annually, and even more often if you have problems. If your levels are just starting to get high, you can actually change them for the better within 2 weeks of changing your lifestyle!
